This is me! Louise Shepherd or more affectionately known as Lulu. It's not very often you will find me in front of the camera, I'm much happier being the one behind the lens.

I developed a passion for photography in 2009 when I brought my first digital SLR camera to take photos whilst living and travelling in the UK. During my travels I loved taking photos of children and people everywhere I went. Upon returning to Australia and my normal life, my camera went on the back burner for a while, until my beautiful nieces and nephews arrived. I loved taking photos of them and watching them grow, from tiny little babies into toddlers and all the cheeky stages in between. During this time I have also been fortunate enough to be asked by so many families to catch the precious moments of a new family member. So from this Lulu Loves Photography was created.

How I got to where I am now...

Over the years I have attended many different courses to help develop my photography skills.
I have recently undertaken mentoring sessions with the fabulous Emily King Photography and Bella Arte Photography.
I have also completed courses in children photography and creating a photography business under Sara Taylor Photography.
In addition to my photography I am also a primary school teacher with 17 years experience and a Mum to 5 year old Rosie and 2 year old Ted.
I adore meeting and working with children and families. I particular love toddlers. Don’t get me wrong they definitely make me work for their smiles and sometimes they can be tricky to encourage to join in with the session. I guess that is what makes the final images so sweet, when I get that magical sibling shot parents and grandparents adore it makes my heart sing.
